Our Story

What happens when a Project Manager and a Registered Nurse collaborate to form an event planning business? Excellence!

Amara Events was founded in May 2019 by two African-American women with a passion for tasteful event planning, coordinating, and decorating services.
Our Story Cont.

We started as friends with a crazy idea of taking our hobby and transforming it into a thriving business venture. “Amara” is an Igbo word that means grace; that is what we strive to bring to all of our events.

We truly enjoy creating beautiful experiences for our clients. There is something uniquely rewarding about delivering a service that promotes joy in the world. The feeling is truly incomparable.
